[RELEASE] Sportsnet Now

Just wanted to post an update -- the last patch required to fix the cookies has been accepted into FFMPEG. I'm going to try to get them pulled back into 3.3 so that Leia picks them up... I'll keep you posted.

Great news. Thanks for all your work on this.

They're backported into 3.3 and I've created a PR on the kodi 3.3 branch -- not sure its even necessary but just in case.

OK, good news. I have a local build of the master kodi branch running sportsnet again -- the stream has been stable for 45 minutes. Patches are in and unless someone breaks something between then and now we should be all set. I'll get the addon corrected as soon as there is a beta of Kodi 18 that people can actually use.

So we can just upgrade to latest version of Kodi (17.3) and grab the latest SNOW plugin and voila?
Second question, have you thought of putting on the main page a Crowd Funding page or PayPal account for donations to your efforts? Not sure if there is legal issues around the idea but it's gladly appreciated

Hi RudyH,

I don't think any version of Krypton will be picking up the required FFMPEG changes -- sorry. It'll have to wait until v18.

Is there a current update of the sportsnet app? I cannot use it and it says 1.0.12 but also will not update. I am running kodi Jarvis 16.1

Hi Ceejay74, if you want more details you can read backwards a few pages, but basically until kodi 18 comes out its broken. It will get fixed on the next release.

Is it repeatable? I'm watching the homerun derby right now and I cleared all my cookies/tokens. I'm on a slightly different version (for the kodi 18 release) but that auth code should be the same.
Reply
i have uninstalled and reinstalled on kodi 16.1, and i keep getting the same authorization error
Reply
is the token the cookies.lwp? or is there another token?
Reply
no. There is also a settings.json file where (depending on your version) other stuff is stored.

I rely on it more heavily for caching authentication tokens in the unreleased version, but I think its still used in the old version.
