How to get EPG data on Kodi? Where do I find XMLTV list?
#1
Hi!

I am trying to get my EPG data working for the channels I have, my channels work fine but I don't have a clue where to get EPG data, or the Channel icons?

Anyone can offer me some help into the right direction?

Ah sorry, I am trying to get UK tv channels and EPG with UK timezone, using Simple IPTV client.. Smile

Kodi 15, latest stable. Smile on Kodibuntu.

But I can't find any UK XML files on that website? Any tutorials on what to do I see a lot or programs and gui creator?

What do I need what do I leave untouched?

For EPG try this http://www.webgrabplus.com/ and for logos have a look here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=228026 there is also a logo downloader plugin in that thread

I've got the logo's thanks! but the EPG doesn't work, I downloaded the XML file (tvguide.co.uk 13 05-02-15 1.1.1/54.1 7 492 n en-US )
and added the XML into IPTV simple client, but the EPG data is still empty? Am I doing something wrong?

You need to install and setup webgrabplus, that XML is a list of channels you need to add the ones you want to the webgrab config file, then how many days you want data for etc. . . It shouldn't take you long to get the hang of how it works

This method applies only to UK channels or those that interest me (in the specific Italy)
Thank you

Go to http://iptv-epg.com and get EPG for 60+ countries and 6500+ channels.
There you get EPG for US and UK channels too.

You can create a personalized EPG list with a few clicks and your xml is generated within seconds.

Works great. Does anybody know why you can link your paypal account "for easier login" ??
Payment is per year, so?

I would avoid http://iptv-epg.com.

I thought from the decent reviews and the fact the trial only allows you 50 channels that I would go ahead and order a subscription which btw is paid yearly and no refunds, I wish I wouldnt have because if you dont know the correct tvg-id they simply do not give you the channel in the m3u/epg file they host for you, and if you just guess the tvg-id the epg/guide info will be wrong also for some reason channels that I removed using their custom "m3u editor" wouldnt be removed from the m3u/epg files they supply and their site is not user friendly at all, so for me http://iptv-epg.com was a huge fail, I eventually ended up just using the m3u/epg file my iptv service provider provided me with. make sure you try out the trial first so you can judge for yourself

Hey Danny_user - you can edit the channel list file they provide in a coding editor such as Sublime Text 3. When you are done editing, save the file as a XML file. You can do the same with your m3u8 files and save as UTF-8 encoded.
