Problems installing kodi from source (libdcadec)

Hello!
I am having some issues installing kodi from source on my linux distro.
running kali 2 debian on amd64 architecture.

i have been trying to find and install libdcadec for a while now. i have obtained both dcadec and libdcadec but i can't figure out how to install it..

See our ppa:team-xbmc/xbmc-ppa-build-depends for Ubuntu, download the the dcadec source + debian file and use dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc to recompile and package it for debian.

same for the other stuff that is coming.

Kali Linux is most likely the last distribution I would suggest as media center ... depending on the hardware you will run on it, it will just suck cause of too old kernel, missing libs, too old mesa, drivers and so on ... so be warned.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks! however i somehow fixed it manually. now i need libuuid though Tongue
I understand, i am not running some stock kali though. this is basically latest debian with kali tools in it Smile

Fixed that. Now i get this. "checking "for libcrossguid"... configure: error: crossguid not found"
already ran "make -C tools/depends/target/crossguid/ PREFIX=/usr/local"

Fixed everything Smile had a few other problems along the way with TAGLIB.
Kodi is now running smooth! Smile

Well atleast i thought it was.. trying to run make again and i get "g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-ffmpeg'
Do you have any idea what i'm missing @fritsch ?
ffmpeg is installed
