Where does Schedules Direct place their xml data and how do you get kodi to access it?

Not sure what you're talking about. There is no Schedules Direct xml file. Behind the scenes NextPVR downloads json data from Schedules Direct, then stores in it's database.
As long as your guide is showing up in NextPVR itself, then enabling the NextPVR addon in Kodi should get the guild to show up in Kodi.

See my other posting about schedules direct. The setup you are suggesting works on my Zotac server (Win 7) but not on my PI (OpenElec)?

There is just as little info in your other post too. Did you enable the NextPVR addon on your RPi, and configure the correct IP address of your NextPVR server? As soon as you get the NextPVR addon functioning, then you should get your guide as well.
