Goodmorning,
i must move all my media files (films, video, mucic and photo) from local HTPC to NAS.

I must to rescan all files to get the metadata (cover, fanart, ecc.....). or the metadata will be preserved?

You can use path substitutions in advancedsettings.xml and continue to use your existing library - see the wiki.
The best option - if that NAS is to be a long-term solution - is to re-scan.
