I have Kodi and Chromecast both downloaded on my android fone how can I stream a movie to the tv without having to mirror it on my phone?
Can I do this without having to watch it on both devices? thanks

Kodi is meant to run from an Android-based TV box, connected directly to your TV, and not an Android phone. Your only option is full mirroring.
