I have set up the Aeon MQ6 skin for another user and I want to prevent them from accidentally getting into the flexible widget screen and changing it. I read somewhere you can do this by setting the two kiosk modes to on. I have found kiosk mode in general skin settings and switched two on "prevents menu actions in collections" and "prevents change settings in information menu". Now for example I go back to Movies, press up on remote, and down drops the flexible widgets and I can still change things? Have I misunderstood something?

I am not spamming the forum I searched the forum for an answer to my question and was not able to find anything so I then posted ONE question which is hardly spamming is it? I was given the information about Kiosk mode on Facebook I was not aware at that time the information came from this forum. Then later via an independent websearch not inside your forum I found a links that took me back to the same information in very old posts within your forum so I wanted to ask on those because the person may since have found a solution. I am obviously the last post on those threads because they have been inactive for many months. Thank you for your interest but I guess you can't help then.

Did anyone ever find a fix/workaround for this issue?

I need to lock down my setup for house guests, and the "up arrow" flexible widget screen is the one part of the skin / Kodi settings that I can't block access to.

Anybody have any idea how it could be achieved?

You could just turn-off the widgets (from skin settings) when you have house guests and turn them back on when they leave
