Linux Linux 3d frame packing
#1
i have a htpc running on the latest Ubuntu version with the nvidia gt610 video card connected to an 3d enabled receiver and from there to an 3d tv

First i tried Windows and had the option in the nvidia setting to enable 3d with a 1920x1080@24hz resolution, this worked. Because off the stability under Windows i switched to linux Ubuntu.

Now i really would love to have the same feature. I would really like to put the display in the 3d resolution and regognized by my TV as a 3d input and after viewing 3d material switch back I found a lot on the internet about adding a modline to tour Xorg.conf. but i have none there. Everything is done through edid.

My greatest fear is that i make a configuration error and damage my receiver or tv

Who can explain to me getting this done savely without deleting other supported resolution used by kodi and movie material so that i can finally say Goodbye to my xtreamer
