Did or does this skin contain a quick menu like when you press the PS button on a ps3? I'm sure that this skin used to have such a window. If so how is it activated?

If you use a keyboard to control KODI you can access the player controls with CTRL + n by default. If you use a remote you need to map a button to the command in your remote.xml.
