Hello, I have been using Kodi for some time and when version 16 came out I tried it but started to get crashes or freezes BUT these only happen lets say if my HTPC sits for a while like I watch a movie and I pause it and come back in an hour it might be froze and the mouse is responsive but the screen is always dimmed and if I keep hitting buttons and moving my mouse I usually get the end program pop up to end Kodi. Anyways, 15.2 works perfect its just versions above that. Also it doesn't do it all the time...
Thoughts?

Proper debug log of the action and failure posted to a public pastebin and linked back to this thread is quite helpful
Speculation: irregular issues are hard to track down, usually something triggers this outside of Kodi, perhaps handshaking between TV and the PC, or some screen blanker conflict, http request that isn't returned.... and the guess goes on. Use notepad to look at your log after the crash, you might see that last entry as the issue.

I was reading about the error and people was saying they were using emby which I used to on my movies folder and it shared the folder. I guess Kodi dont like that, so insted of messing with folder settings i moved all my movies to a new folder and named it the same and ill see if it still freezes. I quit using emby a long time ago.
