Just curious , how long after an alpha build is released does the final stable build get released, a question for the tenure in the kodi community of course.

An alpha is normally just a monthly snapshot. In theory, you should see an alpha right away after a new version is released, but sometimes that doesn't happen (major changes causing breakage, etc).
The last version of Kodi took about half a year from start to finish. Sometimes more, sometimes less, etc.
