Jarvis brightness changed?
#1
Hi,

I'm using LibreELEC with the latest Kodi Jarvis build and just noticed that the brightness level while playing a video is somehow much dark then before.
Although, the brightness in the OSD video playback settings ist still at the default value of 50%.

I also didn't change anything on my tv.

Has something changed within Kodi in here?

No Debug Log no issue - nobody knows which GPU you use.

Check the "Use Limited Range" setting in System Settings.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Thanks for the reply.

I got "use limited color range" disabled.

Here is my debug log

I use LibreELEC in a virtual machine on my unRAID server with a Geforce GT720 passed through.
I did not have this issue before updating to Jarvis 16.1

Reproduce with v17 and check the "Use Limited" setting which influences the vdpau mixer.

what do you mean with influences the vdpau mixer?

Wouldn't it be correct for me to turn the "use limited color range" setting on? Because when I do this everything seems ok (I'm using a HDMI connection to my main TV of course)
I can't remember that I turned this setting off but... maybe I just forgot.

It tells the mixer which color matrix to use.
