if I download this app would I still be able to open it and watch live tv through the cable hooked to my pc as I did with media ctr. b4 I upgraded to windows 10?

Short answer: Is Kodi a direct replacement for Windows Media Center? No.
Kodi acts as the PVR client and you would need to run a separate PVR backend such as MediaPortal (assuming you're still running Windows)

thx so if I got mediaport by itself would I then b able to watch cable on my pc as I did b4?
