Suddenly TV episodes doesn't update, but movies do
#1
Hello!

I've been running Kodi on my Raspberry Pi for over a year now and everything has been working great ever since I set it up, untill about a week ago. Whenever I add new episodes to my previously working TV folders, with same "name setup" as before they won't show up on my Kodi for some reason and I can't seem to figure out why, the weird thing is that adding movies works like a charm.

I've tried to rename the episodes in different ways and I've also tried multiple different TV-shows. I ran updates on everything I could find on my Kodi, but nothing seems to work.

Any clues to what might be causing this or tips to solve this problem are greatly appreciated.

Best regards, Kaztos

No debug log (wiki) no issue.

The log is a bit long, apparently I've always had log debugging on, so it's been capturing a lot of stuff. I decided to add the whole log regardless, incase the information at the top is relevant. Otherwise the important thing is at the bottom, from the timestamp 14:01:58 and onwards, where I did a restart and tried to replicate my issue by updating the library.

Well that is not a debug log (wiki) - but I do see in it lots of curl errors. Perhaps thetvdb.com was down during that scan?

I see, I found this log feature on my OSMC settings and thought it would do the same thing as listed in the link you provided. The 'Kodi Logfile Uploader' won't show up anywhere when I'm looking for more programs to install and neither is it installed already. The only other program I have to show log is called 'Log Viewer for Kodi' but I'm unable to upload anything from there.

Thetvdb.com being down is a possibility, however I feel it being unlikely as I've tried upating my library several times a day for the past week or so.

The MyOSMC log uploader will work fine. The problem is that you have not used the Kodi settings to enable debug logging prior to creating a log.

@Kaztos, what is difficult to understand about turning on debugging?

Hope I got it right this time, as AsctionA mentioned I hadn't turned on my debug logging, just normal logging. What I did now was the following:
Turned on debug logging
Restarted my Kodi
Updated my library (to replicate my issue)
Uploaded the log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm not very good at this sort of stuff.

No, I wasn't aware of this. Whenever I launch my Kodi it searches for updates automatically, but by reading this I guess there's more updates that has to be done.

You're running an RC build of OSMC, which has no update path to stable. We mentioned in each RC release that this was the case, but you may have missed this. You need to reinstall your system.

Helix (14.2) was only available in early RC builds of OSMC iirc. This being the case, you will probably require a complete re-install as those old RC builds did not provide a complete upgrade path to move on to final stable builds. It's quite likely that getting on a modern stable build will solve your problems. You can find our handy installers for whatever type of system you use to image your SDcard here https://osmc.tv/download/

I see, thanks for the information. I guess I'll do a clean sweep whenever I have time and hopefully my issue is solved by then.

Thanks for the help everyone.
