Record IPTV Using Kodi on Raspberry pi 2
#1
Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me out. I searched for weeks to fix this problems and i found alot of info on the internet. But nothing that could fix my problem.

Im using the PVR IPTV SIMPLE CLIENT plugin. But the record button stays grey.

Can i fix this without using other hardware using other operation systems?

What are the possible solutions to fix this?

Thank you in advance!

Install a back end.

Kodi is a media player. It doesn't handle any recording of streams.
That is handled by a PVR backend (which may have a client add-on for kodi).

PVR backends can run on the same machine or a separate machine.
I believe the tvheadend (and probably other) backends can handle IPTV streams and potentially record them,
but I've never tried this. You may get better results from the tvheadend forum as this isn't a Kodi feature.
