Thank you for your response. Would that have caused a problem just within the past 2 weeks?

If I understand you correctly, and the problem is happening to wmc too, then I think its a signal or hdhrprime problem. Is the problem only on certain channels? Some time ago I had one channel that audio from time to time got out of sync on, I assumed it was the broadcaster since it eventually stopped happening.

Thanks for your response. I have no problem with any live channel in WMC, though I haven't tried to record and watch any program from WMC. All channels in Kodi take several seconds to adjust, but only 2 out of 5 channels never catches up with video to the audio, both live and in recorded shows.
I'm hopeful that this additional information will help pinpoint the problem. Thanks!

Take one of the recorded shows where audio and video are out of sync in kodi. Then play it with some other program like wmc or vlc or whatever you have. Are the video and audio out of sync in that player too?

Okay. I just confirmed that the recordings play fine in WMC, with matching audio/video.
I also just realized that in Kodi, the recorded audio is much quieter (have to turn volume up considerably), and sometimes I can rewind a couple of minutes and the video will match audio for a little while. However, the video is very choppy.
Thanks so much for your help!

It looks like your problems are happening on h264 wtv files. Please update kodi to 16.1 and download the preview version of serverwmc (see the update tab). Then try one of these live channels again, and then your problem recorded tv program.

Previously, I had the problem that video is black in 16.1, and that was still the issue when I tried again. In fact, all channels were stuttering in that version, which I could only view in windows format.
Any other suggestions?

Yes, update serverwmc to the preview version (currently version 1234). Then try it again, I suggest with kodi 16.1. Also, what is the platform kodi is on?

I need the serverwmc log. Preferably restart serverwmc, then try to play a live channel, after it fails post the entire serverwmc log on pastebin.com and put a link to it here. You can access the serverwmc log using its 'debug' tab.

The log shows everything going fine, including the live streams, however the weird thing is serverwmc is closed at the end of the log and the reason given is that windows is being shutdown. Assuming you didn't shut it down, it seems windows is shutting itself down, right?. Can this computer handle playing a video? How loaded down is the system when the video is playing? When windows restarted, did it give an error message?

No error message when windows restarted. There was nothing else running on the computer except Kodi and SWMC (and WMC, by default). I do not, and have never had, this error running 15.2, even when downloading 2 movies at the same time as recording live tv (through antenna), and watching a streaming movie.
Is there any other information I can provide to try to resolve the issue, or do I need to watch recorded/live tv through WMC?
