try turning the volume down!!
relax is unsupported. please use either smb or ccxstream. they're far more stable than relax ever was.

i assume this is a bug and not a feature request.
relax and xbmc have never played very well, it was only a matter of time before relax stopped working all together (it was written for use with xbmp, not xbmc). your alternatives are smb or ccx.
regarding mp3s being too loud, go into settings>my music and check if theres any sort of volume amplication on and try tweaking the settings.
