I am quite new to KODI and is currently playing around with setting up all my multi-media needs on a single NUC box. I have installed Ubuntu 14 and have all the individual components up and running in a first version attempt (Netflix Denmark and US, Amazon Prime Video and ESPN) and have installed KODI and setup my Harmony remote to control everything from the sofa.
Now, the problem : When I run KODI from the Ubuntu Gnome (Unity) UI, the remote button clicks are registered multiple times . Making it virtually impossible to control anything with the remote. (And this is before I'm playing around with making a proper Netflix controller... I'll get into that project later ) - If I run KODI in OpenELEC (or from the command line in Ubuntu after killing X) I can control everything fine. - So I take it that something in X or the Gnome UI is interfering with the remote input? - What do I need to kill? Or do I need to configure X differently?
I kinda need X to get the streaming media stuff working
