Hi all; 

have kodi on my nvidia sheild, works fine. 

tried installing onto my laptop running windows 10; 

finds the share location (via saving the IP) and opens the share location and finds the main folder OK; but every time I attempt to open the 'movie' folder (main directory for the media i'm wanting) - the app freezes and I get not responding and white out screen.. which then quits.. 

I've made sure to update / download the latest version (twice) and still no joy.. any suggestions pls?

I wouldn't be surprised that 'username' & 'password' are the stumbling blocks. A proper debug log showing the failure might offer a clue. SMB (wiki) and this thread might be of assistance.
