I followed the instructions from https://kodi.wiki/view/Movie_artwork and put the theme.mp3 file. But it doesn't play when in the information page. I tried other format too, those didn't work either.
What can I do to fix it?

Kodi does not have native support for theme playback. You need to install a specific addon.

I'll just add the steps, just in case:

1. Add-on > Install from zip
2. Install the zip repository
3. Then again go to, Add-on > Repositories
4. Latts' KODI Repo > Services > TVTune
5. Restart Kodi
