All the videos which I play in XBMC have really bad audio sync problems yet when I play them in vlc or mplayer they work fine also along with the audio problems the video doesn't seem to playback smoothly? there kinda jittery:confused2:

OK to make this useful...

1) I'm using ubuntu 8.4 86x

2) i installed via ppa

3) and the problems occurs will all video codecs which I've tried, avi, mkv, mp4, wmv...

I had a similar problem in newer builds. Fixed for me by turning off HQ Video upscaling. Seems to be causing a few problems lately
