Tutorial: Toshiba PX1246E-1ETC MCE remote / vista / xbmc

Okay, first download the driver here: http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-file...140545.zip

It was a pain in the ass finding on the official crappy Toshiba site.

Install it, reboot.

Go to control panel, administrative options, services.
Disable all services starting with windows MCE...

Reboot.

Download IR Server Suite http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mce-re...1-a-33512/

Install it, and start the translator programme.

Add XMBC.exe at the programs list.

Hit the new button, hit the button on the remote that u want to setup, and then go to the keystrokes tab.

Put the key you want to bind to the remote button there, and hit set.

Do this for every single remote button u need, hit OK and start up XBMC.

If all is good you have full control now!

To make it a bit easyer on you:

x=stop
backspace= folder up
f=fastforward
r=rewind
p=pause/play
+ = sound up
- = sound down

first of all, tks for these solution.

1. Couldn't find any windows mce service running.

2. 'Ok' and 'arrows' of the remote work on windows by themself.

After configuring the traslator for xbmc, these keys (2) of the remote send duplicated key strokes, i.e. I click on time but xbmc receives 2.
Didn't add these keys to the translator, because of (1).

Any idea how to solve these issues?
