i want to know if i use autostart, wifi will work, because if i don't start gnome, i think connection program will not load

Look at this. It's for Ubuntu distros..
If you have iwconfig installed, the short reply is: run iwconfig, and check if wireless interface is present. If it is, the follow the istructions on paragraph "Adding it to /etc/network/interfaces". Next time, wifi will be enabled during boot. If a strange delay occurs, try to disable time synch daemon (ntpd). Search on google for this...
