Is the bicubic scaler screwed up?
#1
I just built a new pvr and I noticed that when "Video scaling method" is set to bicubic it drove the video nuts, down to 0.3fps (according to when debug is on). (btw this setting is when your watching the video, not the bicublic in settings)

I noticed this just over a week ago. When it set it to bilinear/nearest neighbor it works just fine. My setup is an amd x3 2.3, GeForce 7100 GS, onboard audio. If this bug isn't reproducible for others I'll post more info.

Also this is an svn build on gentoo.

Not all GFX HW can use all of the scaling methods. A debug log on pastebin.com may help...

I have the same on a GFORCE 61xx something, so it's not just you. Smile Currently my XBMC refuses to start for other reasons, so I'll return with debug logs later.

Have you fixed somehow your problem now? High Quality scaling isn't working for me too on my Geforce 6200.
