Multiple viewtypes with same id
#1
Hi,

I am very new to skinning and i have modded lots of things successfully but i
currently am stumped as to what is the better way of going about doing this :

I want to have a 1 viewtype that has different controls depending on the
container.

Basically, instead of creating 2 different viewtypes with different id, i want
it to be a control type panel for tv shows and of control type wraplist for episodes.

Is this at all possible with the current skinning engine?

Any help on this is really appreciated as i am pulling my hair out right now!

I modded an existing skin's wraplist to a panel and i have my view working
beautifully for TV Shows but once i get down to the Episode level, i would like
it to now use the original wraplist. Again, without having to create a new viewset
because of the massiveness of the skin and all it's conditions that are already set.

Thanks in advance.

you don't have to create a separate view set, just a separate wrap-list. i had the same trouble with my mod skin, i did the verry thing for my my own, i wrote a separate wrap-list with it's own ID, as you said you have to go through ALL the controls, windows, visible etc. but for me it was worth it.
