New Site redesign. Need fine folks to try to bork it.
#1
This isn't a help question in the normal way so I think it is ok to post this here.

I just redesigned my site after about a year and a half of it being the old layout and with it I completely redesigned the features that I offer. I need as many people to hit it and make sure that it stands up to the load since I haven't had time to test out many of the new optimizations I have in place.

I've tested it in all major recent browsers and it seems to work fine in all of them for me but I haven't had any real-world testing of the layout yet.

If you could please head on over to
http://www.xbmcsvn.com aka http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc and see if the site works as planned, and if you run into any issues, please use the feedback form, or post here so I can fix them.

TIA

Craig

Out of curiosity... what is your average load per month? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to publicly post it, or just ignore me if you don't want to share.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search and search the forum before posting.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please read how to submit a proper bug report.

I don't know what the "load" value a month is, since it is a hosted site, but the average bandwidth usage is 187,016 MB for last month and this month it is 50,799 MB If you want to see what each archive I offer's stats hit the site and select the Stats button at the top and use the little dropdown to select the range. This tracks back as far as April.

I'm averaging about 800 front page hits a day and about 250+ downloads a day. give or take. This includes all skins and dists combined, I'm too lazy to break it down any further Smile But again all this info is available right in my Stats page.

I'm not bothered to give this info to anyone who asks Smile

[request]maybe my firefox's old, but your links on the home page appear blue on black for visited liks, and black on black for hovers, which makes them hard to read.
you might want to revamp your css file

It was supposed to be white for new, light grey for visited and dark grey for hover but some reason my class=cleanlinks is not working as planned Sad I was going to look into that asap. thanks for bringing this to my attention Smile

awesome according to my statscounter.com stats I have had 1387 hits and according to my page counter I've had 887 hits and not one "I hate you" Email.

The site seems to be holding up quite well and all in all I'd have to consider this a success Smile

r21791 is uploading now and should be ready in about 20 minutes. Thanks to all and enjoy.

sweet lol, that is the one browser I forgot to install and test against lol.

I made sure to do this will full CCS3 and XHTML 1.0 complience which helps a LOT to make sure it looks and works the same in all major browers. Yah even IE which I am growing to dislike more and more

Thanks for letting me know.

just got a new netbook w/ ubuntu, 8.9 in. screen. using firefox, it looks a little funky, i get multiple scroll bars. But it may just be me still getting used to this thing.

Also, i miss the notes for each build (i.e. xbox)
