ok .. weird thing, been using my smb shares for years now, first on the xbox, and now a year with xbmc for windows
always working.
this night, watching a movie .. all of a sudden crash on the xbmc pc
what happened ?
suddenly xbmc can't connect to my shares on my MAIN pc anymore.
it's not a xbmc problem, because testing on another notebook .. suddenly there can't connect either anymore.
so something happened on my MAIN pc ... and I have no idea what.
I have 2 kindes of shares. With & without login/pwd. the ones with login&pwd xbmc says "could not connect to network server", the other opens, but shows no files.
pinging to the main pc is no problem.
already scanned for virus or spyware.

Then why post it here under Windows issues for XBMC? As the stickies say, this isnt a windows help forum.

check event log. might be some of the services not being able to start...

go into computer management, check services, check workstation, server etc
those are important and indeed wrong place to ask
