i'd like to see xbmc be able to send remote syslog messages to a server you can specify. remember when the first cable/dsl routers were able to do this? one of my wap's also has this capactiy. it's been a great resource.
having xmbc log remotely would allow easier diagnostic work in a real time fashion, more or less. for example, if i am unable to load a stream i need to ftp in, download the logfile, open in in notepad.
if xbmc logged remotely, i could just tail a file. it would be even cooler if you can specify a logging level, too. imagine the mrtg graphs you can of load, cpu, bandwidth, etc.
anyways, thanks for reading!
