This is on a Revo AR1600. I've played the same video file from a thumb drive plugged into the Revo and it plays fine. Whenever I stream from my Windows 7 SMB share it does this. The Revo is connected to my network via an 802.11n wireless adapter. It has a good signal. I can transfer large files to the device via SFTP and it sustains the connection, albeit only at 300+KB/sec. I've already tried disabling auto-tuning on the Windows 7 PC.
