My XBMC setup works perfectly until I decided to upgrade to Windows 7. So It was a clean install, everything works fine. I have got the latest eventghost, but it didn't seem to be picking up the medion remote control. The RF receiver device is "working fine" on windows device manager.

I installed the driver for x10 from the eventghost website and the remote started working but I need to press twice for every action, ie. up twice before going up and play twice before playing something

Maybe the Eventghost log gives you more information. Some remotes produce 2 different codes for the same pressed key. You have to assign both codes to the same command if that is the case.

This ofcourse doesnot explain why it worked ok before.
