rather than building a full-fledged htpc that acts as a pvr, i'm thinking about using xbmc instead. is it reasonable to archive recorded tv shows on my pc and then watch them (over smb, i suppose) on my xbox?
are many people doing this right now? can anybody offer any warnings or advice? i'd probably use a hauppauge pvr-250 card in my pc and use 802.11g for my lan.
the only downside to doing it this way is that i wouldn't be able to view tv listings on the xbox or manage recordings from it. i'd have to go back to the pc for that.
