apt-get upgrade question for 9.11 RC1
#1
I've upgraded before using apt-get update/apt-get upgrade as expected (how I got to 8.10 and the 9.11 beta1), but I'm still unable to upgrade beyond 9.11 Beta 1.

I'm running on an intreped mythbuntu install (upgrading ubuntu is not an option, as I'm not ready to upgrade Myth).

I've got the following in my sources.list & no issues with the keys

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/intrepid-ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc/intrepid-ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/xbmc-addons/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/xbmc-addons/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main

But I can't seem to find anything in the repos beyond beta 1 which is installed.

I figure I'm doing a very stupid very tiny thing that's causing the failure, any thoughts guys? (or am I just being to impatient & need to wait for launchpad to update?)

@a931048: much obliged, I figured I was doing some little thing wrong. I'll give that a go when the work day ends. "I must have put the decimal point in the wrong place, I'm always doing stuff like that!" Wink

@X3lectric: It's an RC, I figure its still 'at my own risk', something horrible happen to you on the upgrade? I spotted yer post about automount failing, that's not a feature I use so I'm all good there. Something else giving you heart burn to recommend avoiding the RC?

well thers quite a few nasty bugs but good on you if you can fight them all off not just usbautomount you have dvd drive issues, startup window if videos which contains NAS source is disconnected wont allow access to Video tab EVER. The forum is littered by ppl posting all sorts.

Maybe if your so sorted you could share your workarounds on forums?

If I had such a workaround I'd share it. My home file server, mythbackend & xbmc box are all one in the same. I have no USB or DVD drives & all content is on the local file system.

I guess my workaround is that I'm just lucky enough my use cases don't overlap any of the nasty bugs you mentioned.

Sorry to hear about your troubles,Sad
