This is feedback/problems/bugs
A few months ago I posted my problems with XBMC (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=382617), one of my next problems has something to do with this one.

I installed the latest version 9.11 but when I started XBMC I got the message about d3dx9_42.dll that couldn't be found. I installed XBMC on a computer that was not connected to the internet and so the SDK of DirectX couldn't be downloaded. But I didn't get any error message that this was really needed.
So maybe a suggestion: check if you're connected to the internet and give an error message that this is needed. This also applies on my previous topic.

An other problem (also with this version) is that every movie that I watch get a completely white screen (with my subtitle and sound).

I removed this version and installed the old one. A bit sad because in spite of that it's really a good Media Center.

Which version is "the old one"? I ask because I wonder if it's the switch to DirectX that's giving the problem. v9.04 used OpenGL.

Having the same problem myself, copy the D3DX9_42.dll from my other PC and fixed this problem.

This dll is now available from http://hotfile.com/dl/25911568/ee0d438/D...2.zip.html. And it's size only 1 MB.

Just copying the dll may or may not work. You should really download (on another PC if necessary) run the MS DX installer.
