Lyndon - are you sure on this point? I know that you can 'seek' using remote sms keystrokes - ie skip through an alphabetical list to get to A, B C etc. But I'm not 100% sure that text entry is achievable - ie producing words from the remote sms akin to text messaging. Happy to be proved wrong though. Big Grin

See here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=On_Screen_Keyboard, seems like it can be achieved - though doesn't really go into it in any great detail and I think instructons refer to us with an Xbox remote, some manipulation of the keymap xml's might be needed to get it to work - only a guess mind

Basileus Wrote:Ok, thank you! So i have to buy a harmony. Which one i need? There are several modells. Or is it equal which one i choose (= typing and other functionality is the same with all harmony's in xbmc?)

And the receiver, do i have to buy one or is it provided with the harmony? if not, which one i have to buy?

If you were to purchase a harmony remote, that is all you would get, is the remote, you will also have to purchase an MCE compatible remote and receiver (or just the receiver if you can get one individually) - see here for the type you would need http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-HP-MCE-REMOTE-...3a598cf581.

With regard to the Harmony remote model, I would think they all basically function in the same way - increased price tends to reflect more advanced features, but any with a keypad (which I think probably covers them all except the 1000), should prove OK, providing what Lyndon says is achievable.

It doesn't work with my Harmony 515 and I'm frustrated because I hear that SMS style input is something built-in to XBMC...
