First off I'd like to compliment the developers for providing a great product. After struggling a couple of days trying to get my DVD vob rips and TV series imported into MythVideo I decided to give XBMC another try. I have tested both XBMC and Boxee and could never get video to display properly in XP and used MediaPortal for a year or so. Now with XBMC installed in Ubuntu 10.04 everything is changed and all I can say is WOW! It took a couple of hours to scan about 300 DVD rips and 4000 or so TV series files but when done I only had to edit data for 2 movies and the only TV series it missed was where I spelled Primeval as Primevil.
On to my one and only problem so far. I have MythTV running and pointed XBMC to
localhost to access the backend. Everything works except the TV guide button. When I pull up the list of live tv channels I do get the currently playing info with the channels but can not bring up the guide proper to see what's on in the future. Is there a problem using the guide with Myth .23 or did I mess a setup step somewhere?
