anyways heres a log:
http://pastebin.com/JewnWGH0

i've got the same problem.

see: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=69875

but there's no compareable entry in the logs (see logs in my thread). maybe that's just because of the revision i used to use during that time.

there's also a bug report. see:

Tnx for reply, testet with no adjust refresh rate and not

I'm experiencing the same problem. Any m2ts file is completely unwatchable. Besides being jumpy, the video lags farther and farther behind the audio. I ran the script from this post hoping it might help, but nothing changed.

I am running XBMCLive r26018 on a REVO 1600 upgraded to 2GB of RAM. NVIDIA Driver version is 195.36.15

I am seeing this same error as well:

23:50:05 T:2787007344 M:1295126528 ERROR: ffmpeg[A61E5B70]: [h264_vdpau] non-existing SPS 1 referenced in buffering period

Full Log here

-running NVIDIA 185 drivers on an Nvidia ION with 512MB framebuffer
-Ubuntu 9.10
-XBMC SVN:27017

However I also see this error when I put the same file into an mkv container. That said I haven't been able to reproduce the error from anything but Avatar.

I'd need this tested on a later svn. We have updated ffmpeg since then.

Hi - I have exactly the same problem - are you running XBMC Live or on a full Ubuntu?

Either way - how can I get this SVN - I've tried following a couple of gudies on the forum related to compiling etc but can't get it to work (I'm a Linux & XBMC newbie!).

Excited this could solve the problem I've been battling with for weeks.

Thanks - Neal

i'd check this out:

- get started with linux: http://linuxbasics.org/
- what is svn?: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_Subversion
- xbmc via svn (bottom): http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Ins..._for_Linux

i'd read a bit into the basics of linux (no offense). that's the best you can do for yourself in a long time period.

Bumping: Sounds like an XBMC bug to me - do the dev guys need any more info than the debug log provided?

You are not playing m2ts files.. You are playing mkv's. And i suspect the file is just corrupt.

I am currently running XBMC on a Core2Duo Win7 x64 pc to figure out how to use XBMC as my revo 1600 is in the mail to me. I have ripped a few blurays to .m2ts all of which play terrible in XBMC. Yet play perfectly fine in Boxee, VideoLAN, etc.

**EDIT** Sorry...realized this was in LINUX/LIVE after post.
