ok, i found that there is NO settings.xml under the resources dir... is it crashing because of this?

Remember, addon stuff is in flux right now. Known issues with projectm.

You can create a .xbmc/userdata/addon_data/visualization.projectm directory and it won't crash. But presets also won't work right now.

Just wait.

I have had the same problem for ages... but it doesn't seem to be widely acknowledged or being worked on.. as tslayer says we may need to be patient.. :-(
