Windows 7 Machine Resolution on Wake Issue
#1
Hey all, running a HTPC with Windows 7 Pro running XBMC and I'm having a problem (not sure if it's my tv or the pc) and was hoping someone could shed some light on a possible fix.

The problem is essentially when I let the computer goto sleep (after 3 hours of non-activity) when it wakes with XBMC running in the foreground the resolution dips leaving XBMC running in the monitor's native 1360x768. It appears to be knocking the resolution down to 1024x768 (this is just a guess, but its cutting off about that much of the screen on the right). I've tried googling around, but I can't seem to find anything about it which leads me to believe its my TV causing the problem.

Is there anyway to get XBMC to either "adjust" back to the correct resolution or have this not happen at all on wakeup?

Any help is appreciated -- thanks.

Are you running Dharma?

If so, in Settings->System

Set "Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen." to off.

I also have this issue on my Revo 3610, my settings are already as you recommended.

Weirdly it doesn't do it every time and it is only XBMC res that dips, rather than the PC itself.
