aTV with Ubuntu not playing 1080p file
#1
Hi

I have a aTV with pin's Ubuntu file on it.
720p plays perfect
1080p "usually" plays perfect.

But some files , don't play at all. The sound goes on, but there is no picture, it remains in the Library where i start the movie. It does not crash, there is just sound and the Movie/Library.

I am running on T:3043678048 M:195309568 NOTICE: Starting XBMC, Platform: Linux (Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS, 2.6.24-28-generic i686). Built on Sep 14 2010 (SVN:33778) and the latest CHD rev 161.

If someone could point me to how i could solve this issue ?

Thanks in advance

I'm seeing some issues on bcm70012 cards with playback of content where the width is 1280 and the height is greater than 720. In this case 1280 x 728. naturally I'm a little confused as to how one can get video content like this in the first place as this does not match the 720p spec.

This is the second one I have seen. The CrystalHD driver/lib does see it, outputs a format setting but then fails to return a non-zero height in the PIB (picture in block).

I understand. Should i resize the video or is there something else that can be done ?
This is not the first time i've had a movie like that

Looking into it, a sample has been forwarded to Broadcom. Best thing right now is to not exceed 720 in height if the width is 1280.
