Hi, I’ve just set up XBMC on my Windows PC for testing and trying to figure out what is what.
Compared to what I see in various screen shots posted online I can’t find options for the picture viewer that would enable thumbnail view (gallery) instead of file name view and sorting options.

In as much as I adore XBMC’s dashing UI the default functionality of the picture viewer is ..well ... awfully basic – just a file list and a single picture preview – nowhere near what one would expect from a useful picture viewer/manager..

Do I need to install some additional plug-ins to see other options? I think I’m missing something...
I was sort of hoping that I’d be able to have at least the following :

- multiple thumbnails (gallery view)
-sorting by file name, date
- searching by tags
-slideshow from search results
- editing tags

I’d appreciate some help

you can't edit tags, you can use the picturesdb add-on for that.
