Hello all,
Bit of a newbie question here but after a lot of absence from linux (ubuntu)
im struggling a bit to install XBMC again.
After typing in sudo apt-get install xbmc in terminal, all i keep getting is :
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... 50%
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package xbmc
Please help...many Thanks

Why not use openelec.tv installer - will have you up and running in less than 15 minutes, ideal if you aren't comfortable working under linux.

Have not got a clue what that is, let alone use it? :confused2:

Downloaded OpenELEC.tv
Have not got a clue how to install,
Ive Read the install document...makes no sense at all...im getting too old for all this i think:confused2:

Its still really bugging me - why on earth wont XBMC install on my ubuntu?
Never had this problem before on previous versions.....

So you need a usb stick to install on ubuntu? why on earth cannot you just install with a package?? how hard do they make it eh? think ill give up
