Custom InfoLabel
#1
Hi all,

I'm making some pretty heavy modifications to the Confluence skin (suffice to say, I'm planning on putting xbmc in a car). I've already got a good mock set up and now it's time to start getting down to the details.

What I want to know is if there's a way to create custom InfoLabels. For example, one of my controls is a progress control that I want to display MPG on. I have the information available and I could access this information from python, but I'm not really seeing if it's possible to create a custom InfoLabel to bind the data to. The wiki, unfortunately, only shows the built-in InfoLabels as far as I can tell.

Could someone direct me to where I might find information on providing this custom information?

Thanks,
-- Matt

Don't know about the python side but skinners use tons of custom infolabels from "Recently added" and "Next Aired" addons to name two that we use in library mode...I guess if you're good with python you can take a peek at how those addons work and reverse engineer from there...
