If you have a windows machine, download putty and install, in the ip box, enter the ip of your htpc and press ok.
Use the login/psw you entered when you installed xbmc-live.
write:
sudo nano /home/USER/.xbmc/userdata/guisettings.xml (change "USER" to whatever you named it at installation, default: xbmc)
then you will be able to edit the file.
control-x to exit, press y then enter to save.
sudo stop xbmc-live (to stop xbmc)
sudo start xbmc-live (to start xbmc again)
if you don't have a windows machine, i think you can use some ctrl-alt-F (F1 F2 F3... F12) function to get up the command line. then just do everything after "write:".
