I'm having an issue with dharma rc2 where my videos (movies, hd, tv shows) in all resolutions will not play. I get the show up on the screen but it's stuck on the first frame.
If I hit select/enter and bring up the menu and hit fast forward it will work, if I hit play after that, it works. As soon as the control menu disappears it stops playing. I've never seen this before.

I've found if I hit pause and then play on my remote, it will play the video for exactly 10 seconds then freeze again. The timer keeps counting up like I am watching it but it's stuck on the same video frame.

Just tried that. I even made sure it deleted my profile, registry changes, and directories. I rebooted, reinstalled and the same problem. I recall using an older version of XBMC on this same computer and never had this problem, not sure what's up.

So I found the solution. Turns out my default onboard soundcard was turned off in the bios and it was causing all these issues. Go figure.
