it came up one time but I cannot figure out how to do it now. on apple TV 2gen How do I get the menu up top during playback to come up so I can change audio track or subtitle. I cannot figure out how I did it last time. navigating with this apple remote is confusing at best.

Can you post your remote.xml and Lircmap.xml files? Otherwise, just look for the tag in your remote.xml:

<menu>OSD</menu>
</remote>
</FullscreenVideo>

And make sure that is mapped in your Lircmap.xml to the button that you want it to be mapped to.
