XBMC full screen on Ubuntu
#1
Hi,
I have ubuntu video output on my LED TV 40".
When I use Ubuntu video player I can go in full screen mode, so I can see video full size without ubuntu windowed programs.
I can't do it with xbmc, when I maximize xbmc window, I see on TV the maximized window program and not a real full screen.
How can I do it?
Thanks in advances

start it up via "xbmc --fs" (or maybe -fs with only 1 -)

If you have a dedicated HTPC you might look at http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMCbuntu for building a stripped down ubuntu for xbmc only.

Press the \ key, or use the guisetting.

Hi,
it works with -fs command line, but I have other problem:
when I play a dvx, video image is too large or too little, I tried to change to "normal,zoom,16:9 etc" and I tried to change resolution from xbmc settings. I tried "auto" and it starts with 800x600, I tried 1024x768 and I see very good xbmcc program but not video, I tried 1080i full screen mode and program is too large.
Any idea? I can see good dvx with ubuntu native player, not in xbmcc Sad

That might be the tv's overscan, you can use XBMC's video calibration to compensate for it.
