I'm running a jailbroken ipod touch 3rd gen with iOS 4.1 build number 8B117. After following the instructions for installing XBMC. The icon appears on my springboard and when I go to click on the app it tries to open but closes right away. Any help on this or am I'm just stuck in this situation.

From what I know 4.2.1 is required, but I could be wrong. I know, at least, 4.x is required if not 4.2.x.

The other issue I read about was curl not being installed would crash it immediately. Search Cydia for curl or libcurl and install anything it finds, see if it helps.

If you are having issues with missing curl, you are very stale in version.

Does the XBMC(IOS) support iphone4?
I've same issue as @Savagemutt.

However, I can successfully install it in my iphone 3gs and ipad.

Any hints for my iphone4?

My iphone4 is using ios4.2.1 and Jailbreak with greenpois0n RC5.

EDIT: Ipod touch 2G, not a chance, does not have EGL v2.0

Same problem here. 8GB 3rd gen ipod touch updated to 4.2.1 and jailbroken of course.
