Network Manager development [Linux/Win32/Apple]
#1
I've developed a cross-platform feature for XBMC that uses a list of visible wifi networks, the only hold-up is generating this list in XBMC because network manager development seems a little fragmented.

From what I can find, vikjon0 released a wifi manager (python-based) using Wicd ^post. sraue over at OpenELEC found a ^python script that sets up networking with Connman. Tobias is basically a stud and abstracted the entire network management process and added Connman (and NetworkManager7, I think) to the existing POSIX and Win32 code ^post ^trac.

Currently I'm working on making the POSIX wifi scanning code more robust. So far, I've implemented wifi scanning in Windows, https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/commit/4...d8677ea9d3

Is anyone currently working on the network manager? If so, I can help out. If not, would anyone be able to establish some goals and offer design guidance? I'm open to any ideas.

Regards,
Garrett
