I have not tried the XBMC-AE-Final.exe (released 6 months ago) but i can see from your thread you are using the HDAudio + Eden RC2 (released 8 Months ago)

Thanks
I'm using XBMC-RC2 HDAudio.zip — HDAudio + Eden RC2, and it works great.....

Hello,

I've been setting up my new HTPC this weekend with the following

Mobo: Asrock FM2A75 Pro4
APU: A10-5700
OS: Win 7 Pro 32 bit
AVR: Onkyo TX-SR309

HTCP->HDMI->ONKYO->HDMI->TV

I've been strugling to get HD Audio bitstreaming/hdmi passthrough to work but until without sucess.

I have tried with the following software but no luck

- XBMC-Eden11.0 HD-audio.zip— HDAudio + Eden 11.0 final
Result: Video gets displayed very slow and no audio

TMT 5
- Goes down to normal DTS/DD or PCM

PowerDVD
- Goes down to normal DTS/DD or PCM

Anyone with similar setup could share some info on how to get this to work?

Best Regards
@papichulo,
If you installed Realtek HD audio codecs, you need to un-install it and update the latest AMD driver. You need to follow the instructions in "Setup" section at the first page carefully.....
Problem solved after EDID override.

Thank you for your help bluray
I am having the same problem could you share this EDID Override fix please?

It's depending on your GPU, but you should be able to bitstream HD audio with your mobo and AVR....

I'm using the GPU that's built in the motherboard.

I see....unfortunately, you'll need to install this "SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6450 " to be able to bitstream....

You have a powerful CPU, but you need a discrete GPU to bitstream. Please see previous message...

Hey i have the exact setup as you, whith the same issue.

Can you explain the EDID override thing
I see truehd and dtshd in windows supported formats
And have successfully used my AVR to bitstream with intel before so i dont think EDID override is my problem

Specs:

It still can be EDID problem between your AMD and Onkyo. Have you update AMD A10-5700 latest driver from here- AMD Driver Autodetect and select proper AMD HDMI audio output in Windows control panel and XBMC audio output. You can select WASAPI: Onyko st rx313 (AMD High Definition....) in XBMC audio output. If you installed Realtek audio codec, you can un-install it....
