So you're still getting the crash with a clean install of XBMC on a new admin user account with all new settings? I assume you don't even have Candelair installed anymore since kextstat showed nothing. It seems very weird to me that XBMC is still crashing. A completely clean install of XBMC shouldn't crash unless there is something wrong with your OS install or a hardware problem with your computer.

Are you getting any other crashes on OS X? Or seeing weird graphics anomalies?

If you install Plex, do you experience the same crash?
No, i'm not using Candelair anymore.

I guess it is the Mac Mini or the Apple Remote, i'm gonna test it with an AHT.

Any anomalies ? No, sometimes when launching XBMC during 1 or 2 seconds, nothing more.

Good idea to run AHT. Also, I suggest you download the combo updater from Apple for your setup. Sounds like you're running OS X 10.6.x, so get the 10.6.8 combo updater and apply that. And I definitely think you should install Plex and try it out because it shares code with XBMC. It would be good to know if Plex crashes when using your Apple Remote.

Lucky me, no problem according to the AHT.

I'm gonna buy another Apple Remote, maybe ...

PLEX ? Why not.

I'm testing PLEX, nothing riht know but it seems that the problem occurs when the machine is idle.

I checked, i don't see what to change here :

Those settings are fine. No need to change them.

You say that Plex is fine. Then what problem is happening when idle?

For PLEX i need to do more tests.

Yes, when the screen is idle Confused
What are you using for your screensaver?

One provided by Apple.

So it happen with a screen saver or without, when screen is down.
Hi,

A friend of mine gave me an old Apple Remote.

I tested with :
- Screen saver : 15 mn
- Mac Idle : 1 hour

Still the same problem...

A question, does XBMC works on OS X safe mode ?

Now that i know how to reproduce the problem, i've tested PLEX. No OS X Crash Report ...
I believe XBMC should work in Safe Mode. Try it.

Also, make XBMC crash and post the System.log here.

No it doesn't. When i clic on the icon using the magic trackpad nothing happen, quite nothing. When i use the AR i have a black screen.

You mean another one ?
You'll need to connect a mouse and keyboard to your mini and manually launch XBMC. Safe Mode disables the 3rd party remote driver, Candelair.

Re: log. If you don't mind. Make XBMC crash, note the exact time it crashed, and post the System.log here. If you want, you can just copy and paste the log info leading up to the crash (e.g., 2 minutes before) and a little bit afterwards (e.g., 2 minutes).
I did with an Apple Keyboard and a Magic trackpad.

I deleted candelair long ago, then i did a clean install of OS X.

I'll provide you a log this week end Smile

Thanks
